Samsung has launched in China the SCH-W579 GSM(900/1800/1900MHz)-CDMA 1x 800/1900MHz Dual Mode phone. The phone can operate under both GSM and CDMA network simultaneously as both network are available in China.
Other features include 2.6-inch 260k colors 320×240pixel TFT main screen and a 1.1-inch 96×80 pixel 65k colors TFT sub-screen, 2 Megapixel camera, Picsel document viewer which supports Word,, Excel, PowerPoint files, 20MB internal memory, microSD Slot, Bluetooth and USB Connectivities.
The unusual looking phone comes with a QVGA (240x320) 256k color touch-screen display, with a stylus for text input and handwriting recognition as well. On the outside, it has a 96x80 64k color display.
The phone measures 94.5×54×21.15mm and weighs 132.8g. It is now available only in China.
